Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Whitish Cobwebs On And Around The Stool Indicate?
I just started having whitish "cobwebs" on and around my stool and they are thinner than usual. I also can feel an anal protrusion (perhaps internal hemmorhoid). There has been some anal leakage when I sleep too. I am only 28 and eat well and exercise regularly (in the army). My Dad has celiac's disease and I am concerned this is related.
HI Well come to HCM Your query is appreciate, the consistency, color, appearance of the stool is depends upon the diet taken, it can only be matter of concern when it is the ill condition is there so it can be correlated with that else it is nothing to worry, if the hemorrhoid is doubtful then it need to be confirmed with clinical examination, although it did not seems like that because the given history is not correlating with hemorrhoid. For anal discharge it could be due to dyspepsia, formation of flatus could be the cause, some time it may be due to infection but it may not be hemorrhoid, even the family history of celiac disease nothing to take anything. If the stool appearance creating some doubt then lab test is the only option to rule this out, hope this information helps.
