What Do You Suggest For Breast Density With The Pain In The Left Breast?
I recently had a mammogram and was told that I have breast density. I have been having pain in my left breast but have not noticed any other symptoms like discharges. Is there any other test that I may need to take. I do have a history of breast cancer in my family and have had a fibroid cyst removed in my right breast years ago.
Breast density is a measure used to describe the proportion of the different tissues that make up a woman’s breasts. Breast density compares the area of breast and connective tissue seen on a mammogram to the area of fat. High breast density means there is a greater amount of breast and connective tissue compared to fat. You have to keep in mind that Women with high breast density (as seen on a mammogram) are four to five times more likely to get breast cancer than women with low breast density. Your doctor may suggest u digital mammography and some times they may suggest ultrasound and MRI also, But do remember that its only risk and it does not mean you will defenitly get breast cancer. Right breast fibroid cyst has no much effect on your left breast. Hope for the best .
