What Do You Suggest For My Heel And Toe Being Two Extra Fingers?

I was diagnosed with PF two months ago and have used all of the recommendations: cortisone(1), orthotics, taping, night splint, x ray(no visible fracture), ice - no surgery yet. I m a classical concert organist(Bach) and use my feet faster than typists type, thus the heel and toe become two extra fingers. Unable to practice. Could this be a heel stone bruise? How may we know this for sure, diagnostically speaking? I ve seen a podiatrist three times and an orthopedic surgeon once. Very depressing. Thank you for your help Joan Johnson, PhD

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
For the exact diagnosis you can get an mri scan of the heel done. This will help in identifying any extra bony spurs. The treatment you are getting is correct.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
