What Do You Suggest For Numbness, tingling And Loss Of Strength On My Left Side?

I am a 62 year old female, still active, For some time I have had numbness, tingling, and loss of strength on my left side. However, the past 5 or 6 days, the lips, mouth, and chin are joining the left arm and leg.

My concern is probably one you hear often...should I be worried, or should I make an appointment with my Internest?

Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,

I do suggest and agree with you should of course make an appointment with the internist. The symptoms you describe could have numerous causes, and some the causes could be very important to know, to avoid complications, lke strokes. It important to note any history of high blood pressure, stroke, trauma or diabetes. These rre common conditions that could present as such. I strongly suggest you consult your internist.
