Had an MRI of the brain. One result that was stated was "there are multiple punctate and small foci of nonspecific high FLAIR/T2 signal in cerebral white atter somewhat more subcortical than periventricular: these could be ischemic degenerative gliosis or demyelination" Not sure what that means?
1.The age of patient would have been helpful to give more information. 2.If the patient is in older age group - then the findings are very much normal, like small vessel ischemic changes. 3.Which are seen as T2/FLAIR hyper intensities. 4. Depending on the age and symptoms the findings will be taken in to consideration. 5. If younger patient you need to worry, in older age it can be normal findings.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
