What Does this MRI Scan Result Mean?
I was having a MRI on my neck/spine and on the film they saw a prominent soft tissue density in the posterior superior nasopharynx. The spine dr. didn t say much other than to get it checked out by an ENT dr. I already have an appointment for next week, is this something I should be concerned about?

Presence of soft tissue density in posterior superior nasopharnyx needs to be investigated.
The soft tissue density can be an inflammatory condition or even a neoplastic lesion.
A biopsy of the soft tissue density can be done to know the nature of the soft tissue density.
Further treatment depends on the nature of the lesion.
