I was having a MRI on my neck/spine and on the film they saw a prominent soft tissue density in the posterior superior nasopharynx. The spine dr. didn t say much other than to get it checked out by an ENT dr. I already have an appointment for next week, is this something I should be concerned about?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Presence of soft tissue density in posterior superior nasopharnyx needs to be investigated. The soft tissue density can be an inflammatory condition or even a neoplastic lesion. A biopsy of the soft tissue density can be done to know the nature of the soft tissue density. Further treatment depends on the nature of the lesion.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
