I just had an MRI because I was diagnosed through a cat scan with a possible small tissue mass between my stomach and spleen. MRI results are inconclusive although they see a loop to the back of my stomach and don t dont what it is. Posterior Fund.? Scheduled an appt. with a GI Dr. What could this possibly be. No sugar coating -Cancer?
A cancer cannot be diagnosed without a biopsy in almost all cases. A lesion between stomach and spleen can be from the stomach, adrenal gland (gland producing steroid), pancreas, body wall and rarely, spleen. I would suggest you to go through the GI doc's visit; if he/she suggests a endoscopy and biopsy, please follow his instructions and hopefully we will know the diagnosis.
