Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does CAT Scan Showing Bulky Uterine Cervix Mean?
I had a CAT scan a few weeks ago and it was noted that I have a bulky uterine cervix. I have not had a period since January and have been having stomach pains for about four years. My old doctor said it was due to my being peri-menopausal. What could the CAT scan mean?
As per my clinical experience, the bulky uterine cervix do indicate hormone changes as there is no menses since january. Peri menopausal symptoms do remain for a couple of years, so just wait and watch over period of coming months to settle the issue. In between if there is - Menses in high quantity, - Hot flashes - Pelvic pain or - Leucorrhea, do consult your OBGYN immediately.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
