What Does CT Scan Finding Mean?

HI may I ask what does this mean please? "Subcentimeter mesenteric and bilateral inguinal lymph nodes
The patient underwent a hysterectomy and after the surgery it was found out that there was a malignant tumor in the endometrium that is why she was ordered to undergo ct scan. Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

A subcentimetric mesentric lymph node and similar lymph nodes in both inguinal region need to be observed. Such small lymph nodes if few in number may be due to reactive inflammation and can be left for observation. If necessary repeat ultrasound scans can be done to assess size and if needed higher imaging may be done later. In my opinion it is unlikely to be due to the cancer but still needs to be observed.
