What Does CT Scan Indicate?

Age-72 years CT impression are of a heterogeneously enhancing well defined iso-to-hyperdense soft tissue mass in left cerebello-pontine angel cistern causing widening of internal auditory canal with mass effect and changes of hydrocephalus as describe above, suggests possibility of acoustic schwannoma. pl. tell me the line of treatment........ medicine or surgery.........

According to the reports,you are suffering from vestibular schwannoma.It is a benign primary intra cranial tumor of the myelin forming cells of the vestibulocochlear nerve (8th cranial nerve).

Treatments for vestibular schwannoma include surgical removal and radiotherapy.About 25% of all vestibular schwannoma are treated with medical management consisting of a periodic monitoring of the patient's neurological status,serial imaging studies,and the use of hearing aids.
