Hello and welcome to HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Adenomyosis is a condition where the uterine lining starts to invade the muscle layer surrounding the lining. So instead of the lining growing towards the
uterine cavity, it grows in the opposite direction into the
uterus. It happens mostly due to increased estrogen
It is not uncommon. It causes excessive bleeding in some women and may cause problems in conceiving in some women. So they need to be treated for it.
In many women, this is just an incidental finding on routine scans. So there is no need for any treatment if there are no symptoms.
In your case the thickness of the uterine lining is also a bit on the higher side [ endometrium 1.75 cm]. So it is better to get an
endometrial biopsy to rule out any underlying cause.
Nabothian cysts are small cysts on the
cervix and do not need any treatment.
The rest of the report is absolutely fine.
So kindly discuss the endometrial thickness and adenomyotic changes with your doctor and get a biopsy done.
Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
