Lab results out of range:Co2. 31.4Globulin 4.4Cholesterol 263Triglyceride 276VLDL 56.2AHDL. 73Hemoglobin A1c 5.1TSH 6.212Vit D, 25-Hydroxy(R). 7.8CT Scan with contrast of arteries in heart.Findings:0 calcium levels Echogram Thyroid B-Scan Findings: Right lobe showed of thyroid measures 24x14x16mmLeft lobe of thyroid measures 34x12x12mm. Isthmus measures 2-3mm. Multiple small hypoechoic nodules in both lobes of thyroid, on the right measuring up to 7mm and on the left measuring up to 9 mm. Impression: Multiple very small bilateral thyroid nodules probably benign and are too small for ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration. Follow-up in 12 months is recommended. My question is: my dr stated my labs were good .. He felt a small lump near my thyroid, so I had the scan. He never returned my phone calls for my results. After multiple times trying to reach him and his nurse I finally got his nurse to talk to me. She stated labs looked good and the dr didn t leave any special notes for me so she said not to worry and follow up in 12 months as directed by radiologist. I have gained 25 pounds in 1 1/2 months extremely tired all the time. Is this something I need to worry about? Thanks
Thanks for your question on HCM. Your all blood reports and cardiac reports are normal. Your TSH is within the normal range but towards high normal side. And for accurate result of TSH one should atleast fast for 8 hrs. So make sure that you tested for TSH with 8 hrs. Since your thyroid scan is having some abnormality(not worrisome much) with symptoms of weight gain and lethargy, in my opinion you should recheck full thyroid profile including T3 T4 TSH with proper 8 hrs fasting.
