What Does IgG And IgM Levels Were 525 & 1.29 With ESR 65 To 19 Indicate?
hi, i am a female, 34 years old. i had pulmonary TB 5 years back for which i took treatment and got cured. currently ihave been diagnosed with fallopian tube blockage owing to the past infection. My IgG is 928.75 sero unit and IgM is 1.39. I have again taken TB treatment for the past 10 months. Before beginning the treatment the IgG and IgM levels were 525 & 1.29 resp. However my ESR has decreased from 65 to 19mm/hr. What do these readings indicate? Has the treatment cured my problem successfully?

Hello, Please to hear from you. Tuberculosis is the most common cause infertility. If I am your treating physician, I would like to add you that IgG and IgM tests are not approved by WHO so, We cannot decide your treatment based on this tests. ESR is even a broad spectrum test which is raised in number of other conditions also. but decrease in ESR is suggestive that your inflammation had decreased. So in my advice do not take Ig tests in much consideration. In my advice you should go for genexpert test for your endometrial scrapping. This will give you rapid results in 2 hours only and also gives you a resistant pattern for isoniazid drug, which is the most commonly used drugs. hope for your early recovery. thnx from Dr. Arun Tank
