What Does MRI- 14-5 Demonstrating Moderate Diffuse Circumferential Bulging Mean?
mri swtates l4-5 demonstrates moderate diffuse circumferential bulging. Moderate facet arthropathy with sparing and hypertrophy of the l8gamentum flauvum resulting in mid to moderate central and laterals canal stenosis and mild bilateral neural foramina narrowing.
Dear Sir/Mam, L4-5 disc bulge indicates that the balloon like soft material between your 4th and 5th lumbar vertebra is under strain and if the strain continues there is a high chance a disc prolapse. The ligamentum flavum hypertrophy causing spinal canal stenosis means that the thickkening of the ligament is causing a decrease in the space where your spinal cord rests causing pain in the lower back radiating down to the legs. I suggest you meet a neurosurgeon who would be able to help you. Hope this has helped you.
