Dear Doctor - I had and MRI of lumbo sacral spine with screening of who spine - the report are as follows - Normal alignment and curvature of the lumbo sacral vertibrae is maintaned - the L2-L3 to L5-S1 discs are desiccated along with reduction in disc height and paradiscal degenerative endplate changes at L2/L3 & L5 /S1 levels. Multilevel marginal ostiophytes are also seen
There is degeneration of lumbar spine disc between L 2 - L 3, L 3 - L 4, L 4 - L 5 and L 5 - S 1. Dessication of disc implies loss of water content. There is also degenerative changes at end plate of vertebrae L 2 - L3 and L 5 - S 1 levels. The nerve roots pass through these neural foramina and you might have nerve root compression at that level. The nerve pain may be controlled with restricted physical activity and pain relief medication. Please do not do heavy physical activity till you are comfortable.
