Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does A Blister On The Back Of The Neck Indicate?
I awoke yesterday with a large blister at the back of my neck right on the spine. It did not hurt or itch. I did not know it was there until I accidently burst the blister when I rubbed the back of my neck. It feels like a burn and has a red ring around it. It feels a little itchy now as if it is healing. Otherwise, no symptoms.
Your symptoms seem to be related to shingles. I suggest using antiviral medication such as Acyvlovir cream. I also recommend using Acyclovir tablets. I suggest to avoid rubbing the area of the neck.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
General & Family Physician
