Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I noticed a small clear blister along one side of my finger near the top, a couple of weeks ago. It stayed clear but the skin was taut and it was a bit sore to put pressure on. I really noticed it burning when I wore heated glove liners for motorcycle riding. The last couple of days it has gotten more sore and changed color to a rusty hue and i thought it broke but the skin has just recessed. It was very sore with a numbing and burning today. I don t remember doing anything to it and thought it was some type of bite. I have been in the AZ area so not sure. I had thought of a brown recluse spider but don t really know the symptoms. What do you think?
The symptoms seem to be related to an infected blister. I would recommend using a antibacterial soap to wash and dry frequently the area.
I also recommend using an antibiotic cream for local treatment. If the symptoms continue prescribed antibiotics may be needed. You should consult your doctor about this treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
