What Does A Lump On The Back Of The Neck Indicate?
I have a knot about the size of a pea on the back of my neck on the right side right at my hairline. There is no pain nor has the knot gotten bigger in the past month. I have been feeling slightly lightheaded at times but not to much kinda like how you get when you re allergies are messing up like you re in a fog. I do not believe it is a tumor but with me having anexity it worries me. Any idea what this lump is and could my symptoms be self caused from stressing about it?
If the lump is not changing very likely it is nothing to worry. It can be from a simple skin cyst to a lymphnode. If you do not have fever, weight loss or sweats and you do not have lumps in other areas of the body, there is nothing to worry.
If you notice that the lump is getting bigger or you notice lumps in other areas of the body or have the symptoms mentioned above it might be safer to have a check with your doctor and make sure all is well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
