Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have the Mirena coil (I had this fitted about 2 1/2 years ago) and last week my husband and I were having intercourse and he could feel a lump with the end of his penis. He went in with his fingers to see if he could feel what it was and he said that it felt like a lump of tissue. I was wondering if it was possible for a lump to form over the strings over the coil and if this is anything to worry about. I am looking to make an appointment with my GP but was curious in the mean time if this was anything to even go to them about or not to worry?

What Does A Lump On The Penis Indicate?
Hello, You need to have a gynecological examination. A lump is not normal. A colposcopy needs to be done. Infection or polyp is suspected. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
