General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This is probably an atheroma which is commonly found at this place and it represents enlarged sebaceous gland in subcutaneous tissue. Other possible causes are lipoma or fibroma, but in every case, this is not something serious unless it becomes inflamed. So it is advisable to have surgical removal of it under local anesthesia and this is a simple and short procedure. There is no other successful treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
