What Does A Positive ANA Test Report Suggest?
My doctor took blood tests but says he doesn t think its RA, but I have all the systoms and my blood test came back positive for ANA my mom and grandma had it. So I am not sure what is going on, have an appointment in November with Ra doctor. Maybe you can explain in laymans terms.

ANA is a test and diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis requires other tests besides the clinical criteria. Other tests include ESR, CRP, TLC, RA FACTOR and ANA. Morning stiffness that rests more than 1 hour is another factor.
