What Does A Rash Around Contraceptive Implant On The Arm Indicate?
I have my contraceptive implant and few weeks ago i discovered like a mosquito bite on my arm where my implant is and it was so itchy..yesterday i discovered the same bite..is it possible to be just a mosquito bite or is it sign of something being wrong with my implant?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The rash what you are noticing to be present around the contraceptive implant appears to be allergic reaction of the skin. Kindly do the following to overcome it. 1. Clean the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily. 2. Apply Neomycin with Hydrocortisone cream over the lesion after drying. 3. Take Tablet. Levocetirizine once a day. Avoid scratching over the affected area as it could exaggerate the condition. Gradually, your symptoms should subside and you should feel better. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
