What Does A Shadow Noticed At The Bottom Of Right Lung In MRI Suggest?
my husband just been told he has a shadow on the bottom of his right lung and also has somethings sticking to his left lung he has been told to wait 6 weeks for another xray to see if there is any different what can it be we worried sick that it is cancer
It is best if you can send across an image of the MRI/ X ray for better interpretation. However, the findings may suggest the presence of a mas in the lungs. There is a period during which such a mass may be expected to show growth in volume (doubling time) should it be indicative of a condition like cancer. That is the reason the doctor might have asked for a repeat chest X ray in 6 weeks. Right now it might be small enough not to be characterized as a cancer. You may discuss with your doctor and also get a detailed scan of chest done after 6 weeks if there is significant increase in the size of the shadow.
