What Does A Yellow Spot Around Stitches On Skin Indicate?
Hi my daughter has a catheter placed below her collarbone and is undergoing chemo treatment through it. The port was placed on 18th Jan. Today I saw a dry yellow spot on her stitches. It s after 4 days of daily injections she used to get through same needle placed for 4 days. Pls advise if anything needs to be done for the yellow spot

Hello,
It could be a catheter site infection. Consult a physician and start antibiotics. If the infection is severe, the catheter has to be removed and the new one has to be inserted.
