What Does Abdominal Pain Along With Diarrhea And Abdominal Bloating Indicate?

My father has went downhill for two years. He went from weighing 175 lbs. to his current weight of 128. He has seen numerous gastrointestinal doctors. He’s had several tests and they can’t find anything. It hurts to eat and he’s in pain in his abdomen. He goes days with diarrhea even without eating. He gets bloated and has bad gas pains. He needs answers before he just dies of malnutrition.

There is no specific test to diagnose it but mainly assessed by the duration of symptoms. It is a chronic condition with no cure. Treatment is mainly directed at controlling the symptoms.

There are many medications that can control the diarrhea and bloating like Loperamide, lomotil, and Rifaximin. The medication is decided according to the severity and nature of symptoms. You should get him assessed by a gastroenterologist.
