In my opinion, you are advised to take anti viral therapy for herpes virus, as presence of HSV2 IgG antibody titre of 5 is an indication of a recent or past HSV2 infection. Definitely HSV2 IgG antibodies may stay in body life long, still no risk can be taken. More over, even if you are not having any symptom of HSV infection, still you can pass it to your sexual partner.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
