What Does An Itchy White Patch On The Scalp Indicate?
Hello doctor Good afternoon.. m 21 years female I love my long and thick hair its all going well untill my friend noticed some coin shaped white patch devoid of hair over my scalp and itchy scaly reddish patch frm few days on other side again on scalp which I thought of dandruff ..m very worried and and consulted dermatologist this morning..she advised glotin-czs tabs ; mompex ointment and folica hair tincture and she added saying that if lesion increased in size she vl try steroids ...m really worried .. why do I get it all of sudden ?? Is this condition is curable?? How to exactly use those above mentioned medications for better results ?? If I have to use steroids do I get any side effects ?? Pls clear my doubts ..Thanq so much

Hello,
As per your history, it may be due to fungal infection.
for that you can apply clotimazole ointment locally.
Use anti dandruff shampoo. Wash hairs properly.
In case of not getting relief, you may require tab. fluconazole.
