I am 22 yo. I had my pre-employment examination and turned out to be advised to repeat xray, now for an apico lordotic xray instead. I just want to know what this means. I am a smoker but not too much since i tried lessening it for 2 or 3 years now. Thanks
Apico-lordotic view is a special view and it is is needed to properly visualize apical areas of lungs because apical areas are covered by many bony structures like clavicle, ribs.
Its is generally advised in conditions if there is some doubtful lesion in apical region. It is important to rule out infective etiology.
Proper treatment depend upon findings. You should go for it.
Hope I have answered your question. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
