What Does Asymmetrically Enlarged Right Choroid Plexus Which Diffusely Enhance Suggest?
what does it mean when a test comes back saying asymmetrically enlarged right choroid plexus which diffusely enhances? Differential includes a choroid papilloma or ependymoma. Lymphoma is a possibility as well as infectious or inflammatory etiologies?

It appears that there is some suspicious growth involving the choroid plexus in the right lateral ventricle. There are fluid filled spaces in the brain called ventricles. They also contain tissue known as choroid plexus where generation of the fluid takes place. The ventricles are lined by ependymal cells.
In your brain CT or MRI scan there is an unusual appearance of the choroid plexus in the right lateral ventricle. It is showing good blood supply and is enlarged to appear like a mass. In this situation the possibilities are that it is a benign growth from the choroid plexus (choroid papilloma) or a growth arising from the ependymal cells. Other conditions like mild brain infections and inflammation can also cause this appearance. Please consult your neurologist and have a detailed discussion with clinical examination.
