Mild bilateral pleural thickening is a benign finding. Pleural thickening may be due to sequel of past infection. It is not dangerous to your health. It is generally a permanent benign finding and patient usually doesn't require any treatment. Pleural thickening may require treatment only when it compromises pulmonary functions.
