What Does Bilirubin 1.0, SGOT 52 And SGPT 256 Mean In Blood Test?
My wife is 26 year old. last week she had nausea and loss of appetite. in blood test it is found the bilirubin is 2.0. This week 4 days after the first test in another blood test it is found....Vanden Bergh's Reaction Negative, bilirubin 1.0, SGOT is 52 and SGPT is 256. This week nausea gone....appetite is little high than normal. Is it a jaundice?
Hi! Yes,it can be a jaundice most common is HAV .You can get her tested for HAV and HEV IgG & IgM both.Bilirubin has come down but SGPT is high along with SGOT. SGOT and SGPT are two of the most useful measures of liver cell injury, although the ALT is more liver specific than is AST level.they will come down as the virus is cleared.Take care!
