What Does Black Stool While On Metronidazole Indicate?
I have h- pylori. I have been on metronidazole 500mg,clarithromycin500mg andomeprazole 20mg. I started these Ned s after being diagnosed by a gastroenterologist.i started having black as tar mucus mixed stools. 3 days ago. I don t return for next appointment feb. 08, should I connect my physician before appointment. Is my Medes causing this should I worry?

Welcome to HealthcareMagic black tarry stools means denatured blood and this is due to gastritis or duodenitis which is due to H pylori ..please see that h pylori treatment will be given for a few days .continue tab omeprazole 20 mg two times atleast for 2 months ..with time your bleed will stop and your stool will regain normal colour .
