Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 28 year old male. I went to get a physical today for my medical card for my GDL license and wasn t able to get it due to a lot of blood and protein in my urine. Dr wouldn t give me any info except to make appt with my regular Dr to get answers. Could you give me an idea of what it could be to prepare myself
There are many causes for protein and blood in urine. It might be urinary tract infection, stone in urinary tract, malignant growth, nephropathy, glomerulonephritis, etc. You need to investigate in detail with USG abdomen and urine culture for initial work-up then only if needed scope procedure done to investigate further. Consult urologist for examination and further work-up accordingly. According to the cause specific treatment is given.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
