29yr old female protein in urine I just had routines blood work done and a urinalysis. Urine showed 30 mg/dl protein. So now I have to collect my urine for 24hrs for them to test, but what are they testinf for? The only other thing high was my cholesterol and triglycerites. What causes high protein levels in urine and should i.be Concerned?
I have read your urine test report and i understand your concerns.
Usually urine doesn't have proteins because the kidney makes sure to not let them in your urine. In the moment that the kidney fails to do so,we have the proteins in the urine. So this result shows a kidney consition. No one can say what the diagnose is without further investigation. So after the urine is accumulated for 24 hours they will test it again for the amount of the proteins. You will need to do at least an ultrasound of your urinary tract and a consult with a nephrologyst.
