1.There is a disc between the
vertebral bodies helps as a
shock absorber effect, the disc contains maximum percentage of water, due to degenerative changes or excessive weight bearing - when the water content / hydration is lost the disc slips / bulges.
2.There is a bulge noted in your scan at the level of T7-8 which is causing mass effect on the spinal chord.
3.There is
disc disease with loss of hydration and peripheral bulge at the level of T9-10 vertebrae.
4.No this is not very serious - the treatment in this case is back exercises followed by
physiotherapy.
5.In rare cases when the exercises and physiotherapy does not work an operative / interventional procedure is required.
