What Does Cortical Gliosis In The Below MRI Report Suggest?

what does it mean when you have an MRI of the brain with multi sequential & multiplanar technique with the following impression: small focus of nonspecific cortical gliosis right posterior temporal-occipital lobe, which may represent subacute or old cortical infarct... no evidence of acute infarct hemorrhage or mass-effect??!A specialist told me (4.3 yrs ago) that my driving privileges would be revoked indefinitely, that I will not be able to work indefinitely, and that I will live two to five more years...they could NOT deny cancer and they actually put me on medications, which i continue to be on with very little to no improvement, BUT instead feel a prolonging of my symptoms and worsening of symptoms. I m most concerned due to the fact that NOT only did I lose my $700k life insurance?!! In addition, I have been denied state disability 2x, which I cannot understand due to my condition & medication dosage?! Yet, i was given 2-5 yrs to LIVE!!? Plz heLp me, as I have a 14 yo boy, who still needs me in his Life! Thanks, as i anxiously await your feedback. I truly need guidance & direction for my child s sake. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the cortical gliosis reported in MRI findings can be related to tumor effect, old vascular compromise related infarct changes or else. Two most relevant things required by your doctor for this condition are:
- Details of symptoms at present and past history of complaints
- Brain biopsy report

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
