What Does Cough Along With Sore Throat And Chest Irritation Be Treated?
I have a occasional cough with some chest irritation. It started with a sour throat than a drip that turned into a cough 5 weeks ago.I went to an allergist took a chest x-ray which was normal and was told to take mucinex 600 mg, Allegra, Nasacort 24hr, and Provençal. My nose is clear with no drip & I have never had fever but still have a slight dry cough and some slight chest irritation but do not cough when I am sleeping. about 3 weeks ago I had the wallpaper in my kitchen changed by a professional and I have cleaned the dark mold under my refrigerator and vacuumed the drapes in the house which had a lot of dust.I also spent a number of days cleaning the leaves in my yard. What do you think is my problem? Should I continue taking the medicine I am taking or go back to my allergist or see a pluminologist.

The dry cough you are experiencing is due to allergic laryngitis. Continue Nasacort, allegra and avoid possible triggering agents or allergens. The cough van last up to 3 to 4 weeks before it completely subsides.
