What Does Crack On Bone In X-ray Indicates After Having Cast Removed?

I broke my wrist and had a cast put on it for 5 weeks. The cast has been taken off and i got an X-ray to see if the bone had healed I could still see a crack on my bone on the X-ray and it is incredibly sore! Is there any chance my arm could still be broken?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I have studied your case with diligence

Fracture might be uniting if callus can be seen.
Consult your doctor foe confirming callus and union.

Fracture line may be seen for 3 months but clinically there will not be pain.
Do ice application, and give rest to wrist.
You can apply crepe bandage for support.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
