What Does Decreased Flow Signal In Middle Cerebral Artery Mean?

Mild decreased flow signal within the left middle cerebral artery sylvian branches What does this mean? Midline images on the scout series demonstrate mild pointed configuration of the cerebellar tonsils which extend 4mm below the foramen magnum. There is T1 hypointensity within the cavernous segment of left internal carotid artery.

Based on the report you have shared,the decreased signal in middle cerebral artery means that the flowe is obstructed in the artert that means the bood is not reaching the territory middle cerebral artery supplies. This is usually in ischemic stroke as the clot is blocking the blood flow in the artery.
