What Does Delayed Menstruation After Implanon Removal Indicate?

Hello Dr , am late of 2mths plus of menses after removal of implanon on April 07. Last spotting on the 04th May. I notice that after May , my stomach slightly grow bigger and having pregnancy symptom. 10x PT show negative and 1x blood test also show negative.Went to the doctor but they cant explain why and arrange for me for hospital apptmt. Yesterday and today morning , i having minor abdomen cramp and back pain for the whole day and plus today there is blood when i wipe my vagina after urinate. I feel tht there is something in my stomach also

Hi,

Implanon removal is mostly followed by pregnancy in one year of removal). Mostly negative pregnancy test excludes pregnancy. In that case there must be some other cause for delayed periods. It can be any thing from hormonal imbalance, uterine problem like fibroid). You needs expert gynecologist's advice and investigations to find the cause followed by specific treatment.
