Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had my right kidney removed for cancer in 2013. I am supposedly cancer free, but I noticed my abdomen is more swollen or larger than normal and no amount of exercise seems to reduce it, it distends and bloats easily is this edema related to the surgery like a lymph edema? What can I do to fix this? It is not painful.

What Does Distended Abdomen Post Surgery Suggest?
Hello, I read carefully your query and understand your concern. Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating. An ultrasound is needed to confirm the diagnosis. I suggest to use a spasmolytic such as Buscopan three times a day. I also suggest using daily probiotics and eating a plain diet. Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contappct me again. Kind regards! Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi General &Family Physician
