In Sept. in the middle of the night I woke up and raised my head slightly and all of a sudden the room started spinning around and around for 3 nights and 4 days! I have severe nausea and vomiting! Could not walk! All of my left ear was numb as well as the side of my face close to my ear and down my neck and I had profuse hearing loss is my left ear. A NP had me do a procedure to put the crystals back in my ear canal also gave me Meclazine and something for nausea. Another Dr. thought I had had a TIA and ordered an MRI. It showed I had a significant amount of fluid and a significant amount of infection in my middle ear. Was given 10 days of antibiotics and Flonase. Didn t help. Sent me to an ENT. Did hearing test and gave me 88 -10mg tablets of steroids to take. After 2 weeks was worse. My balance was getting worse. He then wanted to inject steroids in my ears. I didn t allow that since the ones by mouth made me worse! My medical oncologist sent me to a neurologist who did another BRAIN MRI AND C-SPINE. Showed persistent fluid in mastoid air cells . Said I needed to go to another ENT/OTOLARYNGOLOGIST that could get rid of the fluid. When I walk at times my body will jerk forward then backwards. Some days are worse. It gets really bad when I ride!!! What caused that initial onset in Sept. and why does my body and balance go everywhichaway?
