What Does Dizziness, Pale Complexion And Nausea During Periods Indicate?

My daughter gets dizzy, pale, clammy and sometimes nauseated with a headache after starting her period. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is there anything I can do to lessen these symptoms? She has to sleep before the dizziness will go away.

Hello,I have read your query and understand your concern.
A lot of girls and women have pre-menstrual symptoms, most of which are related to hormonal changes/imbalance, and they disappear with the onset of menstruation.

Ask your daughter to drink lot of water and eat a healthy well-balanced diet.
I would also like to rule out a low hemoglobin count.
You may consult your family doctor or a gynecologist who will run a basic blood check to rule out anemia and give a prescription for treating it.
Also if she has very heavy periods or other menstrual irregularities they should be looked into.
Hope this is helpful. Do not worry and write in if you have any other queries.
