My 28yr old son went to the Dr for his ear, that I thought would be swimmers ear. But the Dr told him that he had a virus and told him to take arfrin and musins (SP) over the counter. He also told him that his ear drum was dull. What does that mean?
Hello Mr. I suppose that your son had pain probably, this is why you thought he had swimmers ear ?! But the dr said that he had a viral infection, in that case the ear drum should be red and Dull because the Eustachian tube ( the tube that brings air from the nose to the ears ) is blocked this is why the ears feels heavy and you can have some pain. If the pain is reall big than he probably have MIRINGITIS BULOSA you can check on internet for that. Anyway....nothing bad will happen to you son, in few days everything will be ok. Wish you and your family a good health :)
