Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son has been diagnosed with iron deficient anemia. Also with his blood test is showed his SED rate at 56 - quite elevated even though he is anemic. The pathology from blood work though showed that all cells were normal. What should I be thinking? What is wrong? Other info you need to know - he has a TERRIBLE diet - eats only bland things - doesn t eat a lot of anything.
Hi I think your child need to change his eating habits. He should also take green leafy vegetables, take nonveg, pomegranate juice is rich in iron. Additionally he must be given iron tablets / syrup depending upon his tolerance. Kindly also go for deworming as well. He will be fine soon. Take Care
