It means that the thyroid blood supply has increased suggestive of inflammation. The dominant 2.21 cm nodule in the thyroid need an FNAC study. You must get a thyroid function test also ( Free T4 and TSH). The inflammation in your gland can settle over a period of time, or it can progress to either hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. Only time will tell this. However, please see a doctor with your thyroid function tets and also get an FMAC of the nodule done. Meet an endocrinologist
