Are there any known causes of fainting while getting your blood drawn or any ways to prevent it? I fainted when they drew my blood at age nine, and ever since then I’m guaranteed to faint. I’m 17 now and I didn’t go to get my blood tested this year for fear of fainting (irrational, I know). However, I doubt it’s caused by a phobia. I fear the fainting, not the procedure, and I was not afraid of either the first time it happened. I do feel weird when I see things such as a video about heart attacks (which also caused me to black out) and hearing people discuss things such as the structure of a newborn’s heart (started to black out, and eventually fell down on the floor) Causes or Solutions? Thanks.
