What Does Grade 1 Prostatomegaly With Significant Post Void Residue Indicate ?
My dad is having problems in urine bladder .... In testing reports grade 1 prostatomegaly with significant post void residue of 180ml,. Is it critical situation?
Normally the post void residue is very minimal ( If he is not very much troubled by the prostate, let him take medical treatment for prostatomegaly for two months and assess by ultrasound for the post void residue.
If it doesn't come down or if his voiding problems become severe, he needs surgical treatment for prostatomegaly.
Consult urologist and get proper treatment.
hi, enlarged prostate is causing significant obstruction to urine flow, leading to increased post void residual urine. I would suggest surgery for your father. Trial of medicines for prostate can be given, but eventually these patients need surgery. They also find that improvement after surgery is much more, and timely surgery also prevents their bladders from becoming weak. Good luck.
