What Does Headache And Redness/itching In Eye With Normal BP Indicate?
my mum s got a headache since many years (30-35)years, had it checked out many times but the doctors said it s nothing and should be stress, but past two weeks when she gets a headache her left eye gets red and has an itching feeling, had her pressure checked its normal even the eye pressure is normal , what can it be, please help.
It seems that you have a migraine. I would still want to rule out the eye problem so you can get the following tests done: Complete blood count Random blood glucose Blood pressure HbA1c
Once these tests are done and come back normal, we can start working on treating the headache/migraine. A migraine is a repeated headache. It occurs again and again due to some trigger factor. This trigger factor causes the dilatation of blood vessels in the brain and causes the pain. Here are a few trigger factors: Cold Sunlight Fever Certain foods Exercise
If you know that some activity is causing you the headache, you might want to avoid it and avoid the headache. Also, you can try the following things to help you: Drink lots of water Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day Take a Paracetamol 500 when you feel you are about to get a headache Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Try these for 5 days and then follow up. All the best.
Hope this helps you
