What Does Heavy Growth Of Staphyl Mean In Urinalysis Test Report Mean?

Gd day doctor, I have been having urine midway into my urine or during the last few drops. I contacted a Doctor who asked me to go for a Urinalysis test,

The test result showed heavy growth of staphyl. He placed me on some ciprotab and one other flagyl stuff for three days, thereafter he placed me on bizzaquantine tablets. He followed up with four drips of CIPROFOXACIN. When I repeated the test, it showed moderate growth of staphyl. Again he [placed me on Ciprotab for five days.

Other tests done so far are:

1.     Uric acid test.......result 12.8

2.     Scan of bladder and kidneys for bladder stones and kidney infections... result.. No stones in the bladder and kidney and kidney in perfect condition.

I have finished the ciprotab and flagyl , yet, there is no respite.

REMARKS.

No pains in my penis or any other part of my body even in the lower abdomen.

What could this be and what do I do? Am worried

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The urine test is showing presence of infection with Staphylococcus bacteria for which antibiotic has been prescribed.
Urine tract infections are common with stones in the urinary tract.
Thus, to rule out urinary tract infection, scan has been done.
The scan has not shown presence of any stone in the urinary tract.
As you have mentioned that repeat urine examination is also showing presence of bacteria, drug susceptibility has to be done to select most appropriate antibiotic.
The bacteria may not be very sensitive te the said antibiotic.
Other measures also need to be taken to get rid of the bacteria- drink plenty of water and take citrus fruits and juices.

Thanks and take care
